Andrew Thomas has spent more than thirty years building an ordinary life in rural Wisconsin. He fixes cars, comes home to his wife Margaret, and rarely gives much thought to the young man he once was.

An old yearbook, forgotten inscriptions, and conversations with people from his past slowly uncover pieces of a life he no longer remembers clearly—and force him to confront the distance between the future he once imagined and the life he actually built.

But the deeper Andrew searches, the more the question begins to change.

Perhaps the young man in the photograph isn't evidence of everything Andrew failed to become.

Perhaps he has been there all along.
