You know the one.

Perfect house. Perfect parties. Impeccable taste. And absolutely no intention of judging anybody else’s choices… unless, of course, those choices are wrong.

Virginia Hamilton has money, connections, standards—and a comfortable position near the top of Bellweather society.

Then Claire Bennett moves four houses down.

Claire is friendly. Casual. Effortlessly likable. She makes a legendary banana pudding, throws parties without seating charts, and somehow becomes everybody’s favorite person without even trying.

Virginia is delighted to have her as a neighbor.

Obviously.

What follows is a one-sided social competition involving banana pudding, an overengineered casual dinner, six innocent hydrangeas, a questionable connection to Alexander Hamilton, county-fair ribbons, enough Christmas lights to affect the power grid, thirty-seven pies, and one woman slowly discovering that friendship is considerably harder to manage than a guest list.

Southern Discomfort is a warm, witty Southern comedy about friendship, status, rivalry, community—and the difficult realization that sometimes the person you’re trying hardest to beat was never competing with you in the first place.

And through it all, Virginia Hamilton remains Virginia Hamilton.

Because personal growth is important.

But there are still standards. 😂
